Round Roof - Barn Charm

Somewhere along E36, east of Clutier in central Iowa is this rounded roof barn. Currently this farm raises livestock in addition to corn. The barn is orientated east-west with the large roof facing south.

I am linking up with the weekly Barn Charm blog series. Click the icon below to discover photos of barns around the world.

  3. I don't think I have ever seen a barn with a round roof. It's a classic.

  4. What a nice photo to share! Round roof is not as popular as some other roof designs, but their unique shape makes them noticeable and appealing. There are just few of these that were built today, and it’s good to see that its beauty stay the same.

  5. This is very interesting! This is not really a common shape for a barn’s roof, but it looks good. They only have a few of this kind built, and it’s great to see that some are still standing up to now. Thanks for sharing this. I visited the barn charm site by the way, and I have great time looking at different barns.

  6. Lovely! Should I say more? Haha. It really catches attention even in the middle of a cornfield. But don't the curbs toward the end get easily dirty? Anyway, it would only take a good day of power washing to take the dust and resins off. Lenore@Professional Roofing Contractors
